MEIEN Calligraphy Experience

At the MEIEN Calligraphy Experience, we create a one-of-a-kind Japanese kanji name inspired by your name, personality, and the image you would like to express.

First, we will suggest kanji characters that match the sound and meaning of your name and explain the meaning behind each character. After choosing your favorite kanji name, you will have the opportunity to write it yourself using a traditional Japanese calligraphy brush.

No previous calligraphy experience is required. We will carefully guide you through the basics, including how to hold the brush and how to write each stroke.

Duration
Approximately 60 minutes

What to Bring
All calligraphy materials and tools will be provided, so you do not need to bring anything with you.
We also provide aprons free of charge during the experience.

Important Information
Japanese calligraphy uses black ink, and even with careful handling, there is a possibility that ink may accidentally stain your clothing or personal belongings.

Aprons will be provided; however, please understand that we cannot be held responsible for any stains, damage, compensation, or replacement costs involving clothing, shoes, bags, or any other personal belongings.

We therefore recommend avoiding clothing that you are concerned about staining and, if possible, not bringing expensive or valuable personal items to the experience.

Reservations
Each time slot is reserved exclusively for one private group.
You can enjoy the experience at your own pace with your family, friends, partner, or travel companions.
No previous calligraphy experience is necessary. Beginners are very welcome.

Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel your reservation, please contact us at the designated email address at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time of your experience.
A full refund will be provided only if we receive your cancellation request by email at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time and no-shows are non-refundable.
The cancellation time will be determined based on the time at which we receive your email, according to Japan Standard Time (JST).
